I am a PhD Candidate in Computational Science at University of Camerino. I work with the “BigData and BioShape Lab” research group at the Computer Science Department. I am currently investigation on the relationships among representation by formal language, topological properties and relations of a self adaptive system. The theoretical investigation has been applied on RNA biology. I am currently working on modeling of RNA secondary structure in terms of formal languages.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Computer Science, Mathematics and Molecular Biology, with a special focus on RNA biology.
I am fascinated by the application of computational topological and geometrical methods for the tasks of extraction, characterization and selection of relevant informations from large datasets, a crucial issue(?) for many advances both in natural and in social sciences.
Other personal interest is group theory. It is the branch of mathematics that studies symmetry, found in crystals, art, architecture, music, and many other contexts.
